Joe Manchin has been out-raised in two consecutive quarters for the first time by Congressman Alex X. Mooney
This lackluster fundraising number clearly shows that Joe Machin isn’t serious about re-election and raises the question of whether he is running in 2024.
CHARLES TOWN – Liberal Democrat Joe Manchin raised ONLY $370k for this last fundraising quarter. Congressman Alex X. Mooney, the conservative front-runner for the U.S. Senate in West Virginia, has reported in the first quarter that more than $500,000 was raised. Joe Manchin has been outraised in two consecutive quarters for the first time by a Republican challenger. A recent FEC report showed that Mooney ended with nearly $1.4 million cash on hand, a record for a Senate challenger in West Virginia at this point in the cycle.
Joe Manchin knows that his time is running out to represent special interest groups instead of the people of West Virginia. Congressman Alex X. Mooney will beat Manchin next fall, and West Virginia will truly get a conservative voice in Washington.
